I’m leaving you a letter, this is a monument

I’m hoping you’ll forget me I lament

your kindness was a temple, pillars of benevolence

I’m hoping you’ll forget my insolence

there’s no hope left for me to fly away

but maybe there’s forgiveness in the very end

maybe there is someone, there may well be something else

today you won’t remember, the bliss of ignorance

looking with the lights off for yourself

your mind it was a tattered road, you’re sleeping at the wheel

constant losing sense of what is real

there’s no sense left for me to stay with you

but maybe there’s a way out, anything would do

maybe there is someone, someone else makes me happy

some enchanted evening brought us both apart

a night for broken lovers to depart

our home it was a disaster, wiped clean in disarray

chaos of emotions locked away
